WHAT IS PAIN?
This is how I explain it. Pain is a warning system that your body uses to alert you that something is in dis-order with your body. Being happy and healthy is orderly whereas pain is disorderly, it shouldn’t be there.
This being the case, it is extremely important that when you experience unpleasant pain, you should always first seek the proper medical advice, because the pain might be your body warning you of an illness that may require medical intervention.
There is no main cause for pain however, there are three main types of pain; Chronic pain, Acute pain and Functional pain.
CHRONIC PAIN is what I call pain that you have most likely already had properly diagnosed by a medical practitioner, but the pain persists. It could be a continual long-term pain like back pain, skeletal system pain, fibromyalgia pain, arthritis pain, poor posture pain, emotional pain, stress pain, post-surgery pain etc. It may be constant, or it may come and go depending on your environment and current state of mind.
Persistent chronic pain from the skeletal system effects approximately 30% of the population, and it can be very detrimental to a persons quality of life, effecting their mental stability.
ACUTE PAIN is more instant pain that triggers the nervous system. It usually comes on suddenly and is caused by something specific that happens to you. It doesn’t usually last very long and it goes away when there is no longer an underlying cause for the pain. E.g. broken bones, burns like accidently touching a hot stove or hitting your finger with a hammer and also labour pains during childbirth.
FUNCTIONAL PAIN is pain that has no obvious known origin however, the pain is existent. Fibromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) are some example and sometimes even acute stress can cause functional pain.
PAIN IS MANAGED IN YOUR SUBCONSCOIUS BRAIN.
Believe it or not, pain is a choice. Your brain controls the perception of pain and you can turn it on or you can turn it off.
Only you can heal yourselves of pain though, not a hypnotherapist, however a good hypnotherapist can help you manage or control your pain using hypnosis or teach you self-hypnosis. Hypnosis for pain control can be a life-changing experience.
So, if you are experiencing chronic pain, stop worrying because there is some good news for you. You can choose to just put up with your pain or choose to try hypnotherapy which is a very effective tool to help you to quickly sort out your current mindset regarding pain and reprogram or rewire your subconscious mind so that you can control pain and manage your pain in a more positive way.
Once I can find the underlying conditions for your pain, I use a wide range of hypnotic techniques and processes depending on your specific pain and reason for the pain, and I also give you a range of self-hypnosis techniques that you can use ongoing to give you back your quality of life.
My goal is to help you manage the pain so that your physical and emotional functioning is restored so that your overall quality of life can improve. You will get your life back and wonder why you didn’t try hypnotherapy earlier. I recommend at least two sessions to really embed in the new you, however sometimes it does only take one session. It will really be up to you on how many you will need as your new positive mindset will steer you on the right path to a reduced pain success and keep you there. Some pain will remain as its always best to know why it is there in the first place.

HOW MY PAIN CONTROL HYPNOSIS AND HYPNOTHERAPY SESSION WORKS.

You take the first step of booking in a “free hypnosis discovery phone call”. This will allow me to give you peace of mind on the how this process works and how hypnosis works to allow you be in control of your pain and take back control of your life. It’s important to me that you know the science behind how it works and why it works. If you don’t want to take it any further after this phone call, that’s fine but I’m sure that you will be very keen and excited to make it happen.

We will book in your first hypnotherapy session which usually takes about 1 ½ hours.

The first half hour of the session is discussing your current issues, your new goals and how hypnosis works. I will explain to you that you don’t have a conscious mind issue, rather you do have a subconscious mind issue, where it has control of how you interpret pain.

Then we will start the hypnosis session that will be customised around your individual requirements for success. At the end of that session you will be more in control of your pain and your life because we will have programmed your subconscious mind to be capable of turning down or removing that pain as per your conscious minds request. By the way, you will always be alert and in control for the whole session. You will not be asleep, and you will remember everything that I say to you. At the end of the session when you open your eyes you will feel very relaxed and energised because you will realise that you are now in control of your pain and your future more than what you have been for a long time. That old pain that you have been experiencing is nowhere near as noticeable and you will become a happier person totally in control.

Sometimes it will only take one session to change your mindset about pain control, however I always recommend that a minimum of two or three sessions would embed your new positive mindset firmly into your subconscious mind. This obviously would be up to you, as you will be the only one that knows if you need more sessions. If you decide that you do need further sessions, they will be based around the first session with added positive suggestions regarding you being a more positive person because you have less pain. Again, the extra sessions would be totally voluntary by you. Each extra session is only about one hour and is cheaper than your first session as well.

Before you leave the session, I will also teach you some very easy methods to assist you in the future if for any reason you experience chronic pain and you need a little bit of extra help with, sort of like a safety net. I call it anchoring. You probably won’t need it, but you would have the ability to use is if you wanted to.

I will also give you a complementary self-hypnosis pain control audio MP3 so that if ever you feel the need, you can listen to it. You don’t have to use it, but you will have it if you want to.

REVIEW FROM DAVID MUIR
I had a motor cycle accident in 1985 which put me in an IC unit with broken arms leg punctured lungs damaged back neck hands fingers knees I have many underlining problems due to the 19 operations I’ve had to try help me live a normal daily life.
For decades I have been on and off opioids as well as other medications for pain anxiety depression and sleep depravation. I have been to pain management clinics as well as psychologists and psychiatrists, acupuncture etc. I have always believed in the power of the mind but have never been able to use the power that it has. Over the decades of frustration of listening to meditation tapes etc I still couldn’t get my head in the game which only left me more frustrated.
I have had three visits with Tony. After the first two I became medication free pain free and was sleeping eight to nine hours which I have never had since the accident, even with medication. In April this year I reinjured my back and had to go on opioids due to the chronic pain. As my back got better I realised I was back to the stage I was before I first saw Tony, depression, aggravation, lack of sleep.
I have since had another session with Tony and after that one session which basically got my head back in the game and it reassured me that I am now in control of my situation.
I no longer have chronic pain and I am starting to sleep better as each day goes and have decreased my pain medication and will eventually again, be opioid free after the withdrawal progress has finished as obviously I cannot just give up the medication suddenly as you would know make me chronically sick.
I know within the next couple of weeks that I will be back to opioid free and back to where I was after the first two sessions of seeing him. I guess I should tell you that when Tony finally showed me how to use my mind as a tool, I couldn’t believe how easy it is. . I realised that I had slipped back into my old ways of feeling sorry for myself and dwelling on the doom and gloom of the pain and lack of sleep that was making my life miserable.
